Push Press June 26, 2026 The push press is a great way to build overhead strength, leg drive, and explosiveness. Start with the hands around shoulder width. Feet just outside the hips. Elbows slightly in front of the bar. The bar should be supported on the shoulders as much as possible. Dip straight down about a quarter of a front squat. Then drive hard with the legs and finish by pressing the bar overhead. The legs start the lift. The arms finish the lift.
